Regression in EXR export in version 13.8

An HDR panorama with 250 Megapixels saved as EXR with DWAB compression, half float, no alpha and DWA compression level is around 250 - 300 MB of size.
E.g. I exported a panorama in February 2026 with PTGui version 13.5. File size is 218MB

If I export the same panorama again (same .pts) it is 1.14 GB

If I set DWA compression level to 0, it is also 1.14 GB

If I use DWAA compression with compression level 45, it is 220 MB

My conclusion is that there is something wrong with handling the compression level for DWAB compression.

Hi Nico,

The OpenEXR library was updated, so perhaps the regression was in there.
I'll investigate.
