I am using a brand-new to me Canon R5 Mark II and find that when I load raw files into PTGui after initially looking fine they then get all washed out as the alignment process progresses and the resulting panorama winds up having the same washed out look. This does not happen with raw files from any of my other cameras. What could be the cause?Screenshot 2025-11-03 at 3.10.30 PM.png

Initially you see the embedded thumbnails, PTGui then loads the full
size images. It uses libraw for decoding raw files, which added beta
support for the R5 II only few days ago: https://www.libraw.org/blog

Until this gets implemented in PTGui you will have to use a dedicated
raw converter to convert to 16 bit TIFF (which likely gives you superior
quality anyway). See https://ptgui.com/support.html#3_7 and following

Ah, thank you. I didn't think that would still be an issue more than a year after the camera was issued. I have converted to DNG in the meantime to be able to use PTGui with the new camera's images.
