I am seeing behavior where HDR tonemapping is enabled during -stitchnogui even though the project .pts has project.hdrsettings.tonemappanorama = false before stitch.

Is there a supported way to guarantee that HDR tonemapping stays disabled when running -stitchnogui from CLI?

Hi,

Please open the project file in PTGui and go to the Create Panorama tab. What do you see there, is LDR output enabled?

I would recommend to use the GUI to create and edit your templates, every setting in the project file has a corresponding element in the user interface. Much easier to see what PTGui is doing.

Kind regards,
