Hello, I hope someone can help me.
I'm trying to stitch some very simple billboards - even in Photoshop I can mount the two images by hand with little work.
In PTGui I found a problem that I can not fully resolve or understand, the software changes the color, Brightness or contrast of the images. I have tried several options in Exposure and Blend tabs, but the problem remains.
Is it possible that the problem is in the way that the software handles the color profile? I'm working with ecirgbv2. Someone have experienced the same issue?

Hi Antonio,

I would like to investigate. Could you share your original images with
me at sup...@ptgui.com ?

If you would like to try some things yourself:

Try disabling blending (Panorama Editor -> Blending -> Don't Blend). It
could be the blender which is trying to equalize the differences between
your images. Obviously this will change the brightness or colors.

To see if ecirgbv2 is causing the issue, you could try converting your
images to ProPhotoRGB (in Photoshop for example). This color space has a
wide enough gamut and won't affect your images. I haven't encountered
eci rgb images so far, so perhaps there is a bug in PTGui.

Kind regards,

Hello
Thank you.
Here is a crop from the panorama.
The original images are too big, which method should I use to send it to you? (344mbx2)
Right now I can not try your suggestion, later I will do that. But I really need to work with ecirgb....

Hi António,

It's strange but I can't reproduce the color change. It seems to be
working fine for me. I don't see a difference in color, and the color
picker in Photoshop is showing the same rgb values in the SPD logo in
the source image and stitched image.

In order to reproduce exactly what you are doing: could you save your
project in PTGui (File -> Save Project). Then render the panorama
(Create Panorama). Please send me both the project file and your
stitched panorama. I will then do the same and compare.

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

Update: this turns out to be a bug specific to using the ECI RGB color
profile in PTGui on an M1 mac. For now, disabling GPU acceleration works
around the issue. The problem will be fixed.

Great!
I'll try enabling GPU acceleration again in the next project.
Thanks
