Hi all,

A (small) update to PTGui is now available. For details see:
http://www.ptgui.com/versionhistory.html

To upgrade, simply do Help - Check for Updates in your current PTGui.

Does dcraw support import of .dng files ... with the tweaks to exposure, wb, contrast, etc. intact? Rather than "as shot"?

I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but this capability would seem to improve PtGui in several aspects.

As much as I am impressed by PtGui, there are times I am tempted to use CS5's pano capability becasue it can directly accept .dng's. With smaller, simpler panos, and where leveling isn't an issue, it can sometimes be a realistic substitute.

Photoshop's not bad for partial panoramas, but I've not been impressed with its (lack of) reliability with full 360-degree panos. When it comes to proper sphericals (I shoot nothing else), in my experience it's just a poor joke.

Hi Lynn,

Please see 2.12:
http://www.ptgui.com/support.html#2_12

But since you're already taking the effort of converting your raws to
dngs, why not just output a 16 bit tiff file at the same time?

There hasn't been a major update since the 9.0 in December 2010 but
thanks for all the bug fixes. Is there a major update on the horizon
or has PTGui plateaued?

Hi Dave,

Development is continuing for sure. But I never make any announcements
regarding future versions.
