Hi everybody,
Just purchased PTGui. Really a great piece of software working flawlessly. It's impressive, and glad to see the v12 update comes with the Artisan lens setting.
Anyway, here's the problem i'm meeting. When stitching a panoram, after some time, i'm pleased with the result in the panorama editor, often right to the point. Then I "preview" the panorama and get different results and on Final Panorama, i may even meet different results to the preview. I don't undertstand and for that reason, i always need to render, then modify and second guess modications despite having a perfect render preview inside the panorama editor.
Any solution ?
Thank You,

In which way are the results different?

Hi Erik

I didn't expect such a quick answer. It's pretty great as it's a pretty large, and urgent, project
Below an example made with 11 pictures, and rendered on a Ryzen with RTX3070.
It's not the worst example as for difference i've met today but it's a good example. There are somes masks but not a lot.
It's as if Panorama editor and preview were using a pretty clever stitching engine which isolate everything perfectly. Something else i noticed, it seems the zones quite differ as for their limits between what i get in panorama editor and what is actually rendered.
Best regards,

You have sever misalignments in the Pano Editor as well, but they are
not in the very same places. Joost must explain why this is the case.

However, you should correct the misalignments rather than rely on
PTGui's seam finding algorithm hiding them.

If you provide the project file and the images (half size jpeg copies)
together in a zip for download, we could probably tell more.

Hi,

There's still an issue in PTGui 12 where the seams in the final panorama
are placed differently from the preview. This should get fixed in an update.

I see big misalignments in your panorama though. This must be due to
parallax. You might want to calibrate your panoramic tripod head.

Kind regards,
