Hello,

I'm having some issues stitching panos shot with the DJI Air 3s @ 70mm especially shots above water.
Before using PTgui, I stitched with AutoPano Giga & had a papy wizard script helping the soft to create the pano.

How can I help PTgui to properly assembled these kind of pano ?

Thanks

You can use File -> Import -> Papywizard, or Align To Grid from Project
menu (if you shot in a regular grid). Or you can use a previous
successful stitch as a template, if the shooting pattern and number of
images are the same (via File -> Apply template).

Hi Éric,

I would expect PTGui 13.3 to read the metadata embedded by the drone.
This contains direction information for all images. Immediately after
loading, they should be positioned approximately. Then you would not
need to use a papywizard file.

Doesn't this work correctly?

Kind regards,

Hello Joost,

here's my workflow.
I shoot raw some my files are in DNG.
I import them in Lightroom & do a quick work on one file then batch this work to the 136 images remaining.
I then export them in *.tif and if needed, I batch them in topaz to remove noise.
New export & them, I import their in PTGui.
Attached in my workflow without going thru Topaz.workflow.jpg

So the files are positioned automatically as soon as you load them into
PTGui (before running Align Images)?

I assume that the drone was drifting quite a bit due to wind. This is
difficult. The Papywizard script might help, or you could use Align to
Grid in PTGui, but PTGui probably will not be able to find control
points on the water surface. Perhaps you can improve the panorama by
dragging the images containing the sun's reflection manually into place.

éric, you might turn on the display of image numbers and check for misplaced images.  The holes in the panorama may be due to either missing images or wrongly positioned images.
