Don't the images get positioned automatically on loading into PTGui (using metadata in the images)? If you have successfully stitched a set of images, you might alternatively use the project file from that as a template to position the images for similar projects.

Hi John,When taking 360 panos I often end up with sky and water images in the set which don’t have any unique points. Ptgui does a great job of placing these most of the time, but even then, it will not create the panorama because of orphaned images.
I understand that using align to grid “forces” the placement even without contact points.
