Export video for google street view not working

I've followed the tutorial on creating 360's and have exported a .mov file but it is not readable in QuickTime and will not upload to google street view. Is this a bug in PTgui? Is there more info on how to do this somewhere, I've searched.

That would be a QTVR file, not a movie. QTVR is dead since ages.
Quicktime 7 was the last version that could display them. Use
eqirectangular output to upload.
