Hello PTGui Support Team,

I would like to ask whether it would be possible to improve or add support for DNG photos from the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

I use the Pocket 3 together with a panoramic head, in my case a Nodal Ninja. My workflow is to take three sets of photos, each rotated by 120°, with a 3x3 panorama sequence. I then import these images into PTGui for stitching.

However, when importing the DJI Pocket 3 DNG files, the images are displayed upside down. In addition, they are not detected very well by PTGui. In some cases, control points are missing, even though there is good overlap between the photos.

Would it be possible to check whether PTGui can better support these DNG files, especially regarding orientation metadata and automatic control point detection?

I would be happy to provide sample DNG files if needed.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes could you make a set of images available for download so I can take
a look?

Kind regards,

Hi Simon,

Looks like PTGui is misinterpreting the metadata of this camera, it sets
the roll to 180 degrees.

You can work around it by setting the roll of all images to 0. Do this
after importing but before running Align Images. This should also fix
the missing control points issue.

The problem will be fixed.

Kind regards,
