Hi !

I haven't used PTGui for some time, but today I took a few images for building a spherical panorama !

I use the version 9.2.0 Pro and I loaded 4 *.TIF files, each one of 103 Mb. (I use a D800 + fisheye 10.5mm. shaved)

Ma laptop is a 64bit one, with an i7-6330QM CPU @ 2.40 Go. It runs under Windows 7. My HD still has 810 Go free space !

Everything worked as usual until I hit PREVIEW ! Then I got an error message saying:

Could not write to file c:\_ptgtmp_E5F9HJ.mov: Access denied.
(0x05)

WTH ? I never had this problem before !!! I tried to load the RAW files instead of the *.TIF, but got the same error message !

Can someone tell me what to do ?

TIA,
J-P.

BTW, I downloaded the latest 10.7 Beta trial version, and had exactly the same error window appearing !!!

Hi J-P,

If you go to Tools - Options - Folders & Files, what do you see in the
'temporary folders' section?

Kind regards,

Hi Joost !

In DEFAULT FOLDER FOR TEMPLATES, there is "C:\Users\SCHERRER\AppData\Roaming\PTGui\Templates\"

In MENU FILES, "Default folder"

In DEFAULT FOLDER FOR BATCH LISTS, "C:\Users\SCHERRER\AppData\Roaming\PTGui\Batch Lists\"

In TEMPORARY FOLDER, "C/"

....I checked and the folders named above ARE in their own place in "C:\Users\SCHERRER\AppData\Roaming\PTGui\......."

Thanks for your help !

J-P.

That's the problem. You are asking PTGui to create temporary files in
C:\, but this directory is not writable.

Just remove this line, restart PTGui and things should work.
