I'm currently having trouble stitching together 360-degree photos taken with my Canon C50 camera's 7-14mm f2.8-3.5 lens. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I took the photos at 10mm (4 photos ABE 5). I've included the driver link.

ĐẠI TÂM TRẦN,  You should explain in more detail what particular difficulties you were having.  I had to convert the images to DNG format using the Adobe DNG image converter so that they could be opened by PTGui.  (The raw images from your camera are not yet supported by PTGui).  Alternatively, convert them to TIFF format.  Having done that, I had no problems with the stitching.

See the attached project file.

Hi John Houghton, I'm having trouble stitching together a 360-degree image using my Canon 7-14f2.8-3.5 lens. I'm sure I've used the correct technique (I'm using an Artisan 10f2.8 mark2 fisheye lens). Ptgui isn't stitching the image correctly.
I've attached a Google Drive link to the converted TIF image.

Could you please download and try stitching the image yourself, Ptgui 13.7?

Thank you!

ĐẠI TÂM TRẦN, I didn't have any problems stitching the images, but you do need to input camera and lens data, as PTGui does not know anything about these models.

1. Load in the images.
2. Set crop factor to 1 and click OK
3. Select the lens type as "Generic fisheye lens"  and click OK
4. Follow the instruction under "Set up panorama" to visit the Crop tab to set the cropping circle just inside the image circle.
5. Return to the Project Assistant and click on Align Images.

That should produce a nicely aligned image in the Panorama Editor window, in which case you can then generate the output panorama.  My project file is attached.

Hi,

PTGui doesn't yet recognize this lens, it will be added in the next update.

For now, after loading the image, when the 'focal length' window pops
up, be sure to select Generic Fisheye. Otherwise PTGui will try to
stitch the images as rectilinear ones, but this will fail.

You may also need to adjust the cropping circle.

Kind regards,

I'm using PTGUI 13.7 Pro, and I can't stitch together 360-degree images using my Canon 7-14 f2.8-3.5 lens. I'm doing a great job stitching images with my Artisan 10 f2.8 Mark 2 RF and E mount lenses (I have two cameras:  Sony A7R5 and Canon C50). I sold my Canon 8-15 f4 fisheye lens to buy the Canon 7-14 f2.8-3.5 for work, but I'm very disappointed with PTGUI 13.7's stitching method.

Thank you!

Hi,

Did you try John's and my suggestions? You should be able to get good
results this way.

If you can't get it to work, please post a couple of screenshots so we
can see what you are doing.

Kind regards,
