Yes, with the default settings and depending on the hardware it could
take that long.

You may be able to improve the speed:

1. Pre-align the images using Project - Align to Grid
Then enable the checkbox 'Images are already roughly aligned'. This
should greatly improve the speed

2. Use PTGui 13 beta, not an earlier version. The optimizer is much faster.

3. Make sure your computer has sufficient RAM (64GB or more) and a fast SSD.
