Hello all.
I'm shooting with a Canon 6d, with GPS location data in the CR3 raw files. My workflow is load the raw files directly into PTGUI, create the panorama and export as a 16bit Tiff for final editing in Photoshop.
I'm finding the exported Tiff file strips the EXIF data and GPS coordinates.
The PTGUI Metadata tab says no location was found in the EXIF data, but it is clearly in the CR3 files upon loading into the program.
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
John

Hi John,
You're right. PTGui currently cannot read the metadata from CR3 files.
Most raw files (including Canon's former CR2) are based on TIFF, and
PTGui can parse those. But CR3 is a different format.
I will add this to the wish list.
One workaround is to use Adobe's DNG converter and convert your CR3
files to DNG first. This is understood by PTGui's metadata parser.
