Hello,

we have a panono 360 degree camera and because the

company doesn’t exist, we need an other converter.

The camera produced „UPF – FILES“.

Can the software PTGui handle these formats?

Or someone knows how we can continue to use the camera?

Perhaps any other software?

Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank,

People have tried to stitch these images in PTGui, apparently there is
(or was) a way to extract the jpeg images from the UPF. But the results
are not good; due to the size of the camera there are large parallax errors.

Kind regards,

Someone on reddit uploaded the converter to archive.org:

Hallo Herr Krause,

Thanks for the tip, I downloaded the converter. Maybe you or another forum user have a tip where can I
download the app for the IPhone or a Samsung to control then Panono? It is no longer in the app stores available.

Danke und eine schönen Wochenanfang
Frank

Hello,

Panono has now discontinued online conversion. Converting the UPF files to JPEG is also no problem. Does anyone have a tip about which focal length and sensor size I have to make with the presets. Somehow PTGui doesn't seem to be able to cope with the images at all.

Greetings,
Sven

Panono images suffer from extreme parallax, and the shooting pattern is
pretty special. But apart from this, PTGui can stitch those images. If
you supply a set of images shot in a large room or outdoors, preferably
from a pole to minimize parallax, it should be possible to create a
template. But don't expect too much...
