Use vertical control points in template?

I have a bunch of Theta Z1 panos all shot at the exact same location, with different people on stage.  I try to batch stitch based on a template from a perfectly level stitched pano, but I can't get the batch stitcher to use the vertical control points to level the other panos.  I've tried it with align Images first and without, and it doesn't make a difference.  Help!  I don't want to set vertical control points on dozens of panos when they're all identical.

Control points are never used in a template. If you want all panoramas
exactly the same, disable "Do 'Align Images'..." under Batch Stitcher
Actions on Project Settings tab before you save the template. Also
disable "Initialize the lens settings..." under Batch Builder behavior
and "Physically rotate images..." and "Automatically initialize..."
under Miscellaneous.
