Hello. I use the export setting for HDR panorama and usually experience very bad white balance and green - purple errors. You can see photos attachment. The original raw files on my Canon r5 are fine. Everything is good but not sure this issue still happening.

Can anyone help me solve this? Thank you very much for all your help. Error 2.jpgExport setting.jpgError 1.jpg

John, Possibly the camera was set to auto white balance?  I suggest that you convert the raw images to 16bit tiff for input to PTGui, applying the same fixed white balance to all images (not "Auto").  Don't optimize white balance on the Exposure/HDR tab.  See if that makes any difference.

It could also be caused by a  too large cropping circle, such that the outer discolored edge of the fisheye image is included. Check the Crop tab to see if this is the case.

Regardless, I’d like to investigate; could you make a set of images available for download?

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

Thanks for all your help. Here is the link to the set of photos. Let me know if you can fix it. Also, Can you please create a template for me if possible?
Photos shoot at 10mm focal length. Canon R5, EF8-15mm f/4L FISHEYE USM lens.

John, Thank you for the files.  I was able to stitch the images converted to tiff with Adobe ACR (with white balance set to daylight) and had no colour issues.  As well as the PTGui panorama, I also tried a merge of the five blend planes generated from PTGui  using SNS HDR Home and also got a good result (HDR in the file name).  I think Joost's explanation for your problems is probably the correct one.  You can download my project file and small versions of the panoramas from https://we.tl/t-WwTrLz8q4y .

Hi John. Your template works although the green - purple edge still visible. But that's a lot better and easier to fix.

Thanks for all your help.

Cheers!

John, The chromatic aberration is nothing to do with PTGui.  It doesn't attempt to correct that.  I checked that option in the ACR raw conversion as a matter of routine.  The remaining purple/green fringing can be dealt with by these settings:
