+1 for this feature request :)

Thanks to it we will be able to develop stitched panoramas in Adobe Lightroom like single RAW from camera.

But I have an additional request for giganans (>=512MPix or >=65000 in one dimension): export to DNGs splitted by smaller tiles but with overlap (and with the PtGUI project to stitch it again).

Currently I do it in my workflow with my gigapans but I use 16-bit TIFF. I split with overlap by my python script and join again by my simple blending algorithm (simple gradient).

Joost never makes predictions about new versions. But I would advocate
that version 12 can still mature a bit. There are still quirks and a few
rough edges...
