I encountered a problem with this xmp tag, that was introduced in version 11. Until last week I used version 10. After I created my first panorama in version 12, I noticed, that when I upload the panorama to google fotos, it would orient the initial direction exactly in the oppsite direction to what the thumbnail shows in the middle of the picture. I found out, that the tag InitialViewHeadingDegrees is set to 0 by default. I think this is wrong but Im not sure. If I delete the tag with the program xmppilot then it works like before. Im doing something wrong here? Is there a way to edit this tags in ptgui directly?

Hi Marc,

I think you're right.

I don't have an android device at hand currently; could you try and
confirm it works if you set InitialViewHeadingDegrees to 180?

You are not alone :-) . the FaceBook 360° web viewer was similarly confused for a while (I stopped producing that tag in PanGazer for best part of a year to 'avoid' the problem). The FB viewer is now OK, and matches the Google StreetMap viewer, so I think it's safe to use the correct InitialViewHeadingDegrees (and of course GPano:PoseHeadingDegrees) now.

It worked with 180. I mean it seams more logic to load the panorama at a point that one can see in the middle of the thumbnails. I Tried it with Google Fotos and Street View.
