DNG files created by PTGui will not open when being transferred to photoshop.  Photoshop returns to following message

Could not open “_DSF20817C,S1 Pano.dng” because the file-format module cannot parse the file.

I can open each of the dng files before ptgui in photoshop but not once they have been merged.

Using Photoshop 27.6 with updated camera raw

Using PTGUi 13.7

Using Mac OS 26 Tahoe

Yes I tried with PTGui 13.7, macos Tahoe and Photoshop 27.6.

I would need to investigate with your image. Could you share your DNG file?

Or if it's not too large, could you share the project file and source
images as well?

So I have tried it using the RAF files direct into ptgui and the dng file exported will open in photoshop
I converted the RAF files into DNG files prior to ptgui then opened them in ptgui and then exported a DNG out and that file will not open in photoshop.
Generally I am focus stacking in helicon focus with a dng output file that I then load those into ptgui with a subsequent dng output which is given me the issue
Ive tried converting the RAF using adobe dng converter.  Single dng files will open, its just when they have been stacked from ptgui

The Raf files are 130mb
The DNG files are 130mb
Is there an option for uploading?

I have also tried creating the DNG file via Topaz Photo Ai and letting this program create the DNG files.  The uploaded into PTGui and tried opening the output dng file in photoshop but still get the same error.  It must have something to do with the DNG input to output pipeline

Also get the same response by exporting DNG from DXO photo lab and then opening them into PTGui and then exporting a DNG.  If all 3 programs are using various methods to create DNG files (I'm assume not Adobe DNG converter, then the most likely culprit is something is happening between DNG file in to PTGui and DNG file out of PTGui

This is a new issue for me so I would say adobe has changed something with there dng input that is triggering a file opening error in Photoshop 27.6.  I might try installing a previous version.  Just depends it lies in photoshop or the camera raw plugin

Tried an older version of photoshop which did not help. I installed an older version of camera raw which then allowed me to open the DNG files into photoshop.  So it may be most likely a camera raw 18.3.2528 compatibility issue

Ok. I need to eat my words...  I re-installed camera raw 18.3.2528 and now it opens  dng files from PTGui.  There must of been some cosmic neutrino glitch from the recent Adobe cloud update.  SO if anyone else suffers from cosmic forces, try manually downloading camera raw and re-installing and hopefully you luck will be as good as mine
