Thank you for the clarifications.

Use Case – I purchased PTGUI to stitch DJI Mavic 4 Pro or 3 Pro images

  1. Camera / lens database
  • My lens database is blank.
  • Where are existing camera and lens definitions downloaded from
  • How do I establish one (or use an existing template or the DJI Mavic 3 / 4 Pro, Mini 3 Pro treated as generic cameras resolved only via EXIF each time?
  • If no formal definition exists, what fields should be explicitly set or saved to ensure consistent results?

My experience with PTGUI has been mixed so far and is not saving much time.  Currently, the pano builds, but depending on the number of shots and how DJI creates the sequence (columns, rows, starts in the middle/top/bottom), pano seems to require different cylindrical, rectilinear, mercado, inverse and does not do a consistent job

I’m looking for repeatable, saved configuration, not general usage guidance.

  1. Templates / presets
  • Does PTGui have or can recommended templates for DJI drone panoramas (single-row, multi-row, spherical)?
  • If not, what settings are considered best practice to save as a reusable template for DJI drones (projection, optimizer strategy, lens type, exposure/vignetting handling)?

Brad

Is there an app function for PTGUI to be called from Lightroom, where I select a group of photos and select to open them in PTGUI – similar to Send-To in Windows right-click?

Is there a camera definition for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro and DJI Mini 3 Pro cameras.  Please let me know where the catalog of cameras are located, or how a definition is created?

Are there best practices to stitch a DJI Mavic 3 or 4 Pro and templates already created to streamline the process.

Hi Brad,

I think this is a misunderstanding, there is no Lightroom plugin for PTGui.

Kind regards,

Hi Brad,

In most cases PTGui should stitch DJI drone panoramas automatically. You
don't need the lens database for regular use (it is indeed empty by
default btw) and you shouldn't need a template.

Immediately after loading the images, PTGui should show a reasonable
preview with the images already in place.

It sounds like this is not the case for you? Could you make a set of
images available so I can see what's happening?

Kind regards,
