I'm hoping to get some guidance on stitching drone panoramas in PTGui. Recently I used my DJI Phantom 4 drone to capture a 34-image auto panorama. When stitching the photos in PTGui 12.22, the overall panorama came out well, but there are visible glitches in complex areas like the rooftop and stone pillar.

I've tried optimizing the panorama, adding custom control points, and deleting bad control points, but these haven't fully corrected the artifacts. Before resorting to Photoshop edits, I'd like to better understand how to optimize the stitching in PTGui itself.

If anyone has experience working with drone panoramas in PTGui, I would greatly appreciate it if you could review my sample images and advise on settings or techniques to try for cleaner stitching. Are there any adjustments you'd recommend for tricky textures and edges? Any guidance on additional steps in PTGui before editing would be very helpful.2.PNG

My goal is to learn how to get the best-automated panorama results straight from PTGui before the Photoshop stage. Please let me know if you have any advice for working with these types of drone panoramas. Thanks in advance for any tips you can offer!

Morisawa, Your result is not at all bad considering the amount of parallax that is visible in the images.  Misalignments in nearby features like those roofs in particular are to be expected, but they mostly look reasonably clean.  Viewpoint correction can often help and there's some guidance in the FAQ at https://ptgui.com/support.html#5_6  .  However, I'm afraid that some work in Photoshop will be necessary to get a completely satisfactory stitch.

I somehow did not have the stitching error like you have in the photos. That is strange.  I think the stitching is almost perfect.

Next time, underexpose the highlights a little bit.  There is just no information to recover. I did brighten the shadows by one stop.
