raw file assembly vs. tif

I am surprised to see the following (on a difficult stitch of 3x5 images with many very dark areas): With the same raw files, if I start from Lightroom (PTGui plugin) and make changes in PTGui (Lightroom creates TIF files), the stitching is successful.
If I put the raw files directly into PTGui, it doesn't work, the stitching is weird... ??

It looks like one or more images are not positioned correctly (lack of control points?).

If you switch on the image numbers, you should be able to quickly identify the culprit(s).

Hi Philippe,

Did PTGui complain that it couldn't find control points? You would get a
popup message after running Align Images and you would see a red warning
message in the Project Assistant.

The strange thing is that it works when exporting TIFF files from Lightroom (from RAW files and the PTGui plugin), but not when putting the RAW files directly into PTGui. I should point out that I haven't done any work on the RAW files...
