Just purchased PTGUI 13. Already getting errors

I finally purchased an upgrade to PTGUI 10 I created 84 panos from a select pull from roughly 1600 photo images. I should have output tif the whole time but realized 54 of the first nodes were saved as the default jpg. I saved each project after generating the node so all the info is intact.

I just went back to regenerate the jpg outputs and PTGUI refuses to recognize any of the pts files. Help please.

I have plenty of hard drive space and memory. And the latest mac os, Tahoe.

I just got info from the Lightroom generated source images. They're roughly 258 mb per image. (4 images + 1 nadir cover). PTGUI had no problems creating nodes from that size input. (In fact, some of the nodes required all 15 bracketed images. PTGUI generated nodes at record speed) Those files are too large to send.

Your screenshots show error messages about not being able to read tif
files. Can you open those tif files in any other application?

Could you please describe, step by step, what you do and when exactly
these errors pop up?

Yes. The files were generated from lightroom, opened fine in PTGUI. Aligned level panos first. Masked the tripod legs. Optimized the 4 level images. Went back and added the nadir image. advanced optimized the nadir. Realigned the 5th image using the first optimization. Ran optimization under "advanced". Tone mapped the output. Created pano from there. Saved each project after all that. Moved on to the next node and repeated all over again. I was able to open the lightroom generated photos in Photoshop and Affinity. I was also able to open the stitched jpg's and tif's in those app too.

Thanks for purchasing!

Your images are located on the Desktop, and this is one of the folders
that is protected by macOS.

When you added the images originally, macOS would have asked you whether
you allow PTGui to access files on the Desktop. It seems you have
answered No, and now macOS is denying PTGui to read your images. PTGui
receives a 'operation not permitted' error when it tries to open the files.

I think you can resolve it by quitting and restarting PTGui; then macOS
will ask again for permission.

Alternatively, go into macOS Settings, Privacy & Security - Full Disk
Access and add Applications/PTGui to that list.

That worked Joost. Thank you. The strange part about this is I was able to create 84 nodes over a 2 day period through shutdown and restarts and the OS was never asked for permission to access files on the desktop. These modern OS's want to unnecessarily know everything the user is accomplishing through cloud connected SAAS. I don't imagine PTGUI is connected to the internet throughout app operation. I miss the days of dumb terminals. Where we could create without giving up our process to snooping AI.

PTGui runs very well on Linux.

I think Apple's intention is fine here. Your documents may contain
sensitive information and you might want to know when a new application
tries to access them. This happens locally on your machine.

But consider swtching to Linux, it's great nowadays and it will give you
full control.
