Howdy,

I'm currently capturing 360s using FX Nikon SLR with 10.5 DX for a 4-shot sequence.

I'm interested in transitioning to the Z system using a lens with a native Z-mount.  I just bought a artisans Photoelectric 7.5mm f/2.8 II Fisheye to test on a rental Z body. (As the 10.5 won't work on the Zs as the DX crop can't be overridden in the Z menu....)

Before I take a hacksaw to the lens hoods, is anybody using this set-up?

Thoughts, observations, real world experience?

Any beta will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The Nikon Z series has both DX and FX bodies. Which one do you have?

Erik,

My goal is to have the largest file from a 45mb sensor using a native Z-mount wide angle (no FTZ adaptor) for a 4-shot pano without having to shoot a Zenith.  I'm often shooting action / portraiture in the spherical realm where multiple rows isn't really an option, or inconvenient.

I just tested the 7.5 on a Z7II.  Because of the lens hood is still on the lens, the sequence was a 5-shot plus Z & N.  It stitched fine, looks sharp - which might lead me to cut off the hoods so as to continue the test...

Thanks,

Bob
