Look at this pano that is stitched from 5 captures taken on a tripod, with fixed settings for exposure and WB:

I tried to eliminate the patches in the sky by applying vignetting correction (as per Vignetting correction - PTGui Stitching Software) but this doesn't seem to help, unless I'm doing something wrong here.

Interestingly, the same pano looks quite ok when stitched in PS (even without vignetting correction selected):

What's the problem?
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Karsten

Hi Karsten,

Could you try switching the panorama editor to Unblended mode? It looks
like there may be exposure differences between your images, perhaps due
to the way you developed the raw files.

You could also try switching the blending mode between zero overlap and
multiband. See Panorama Editor -> Blending ->Blender.

If you would like me to investigate please make your source images
available for download.

Kind regards,

Many thanks for your advise, Joost.

If I choose zero overlap the result is similar to what I get from Photomerge.

The exposure difference is very likely coming from HDR processing of the individual images which form the pano. I assume this is due to different tone mapping and brightness across the various images. I thought I'd do it the other way round (ie HDR of individual panos), but in this case I have aligning problem. Tricky thing.
