Greetings - it is possible I am misinterpreting this new feature, or that my workflow is possibly nonstandard, but the checkbox is causing something I would not expect to be intentional.
This issue is noticed on my DJI Mavic 3 Pro workflow for aerial equirectangular captures.
My normal workflow -
* Load my processed DNG > JPG images, already in order by procedural overlap
* Assuming the capture had no major issues, images load in step 1 and display.
* After images are imported the panorama window fills in and looks very good and a rough alignment appears to be successful.
* (note that check-box is pre-checked, and agree based on how the pano looks pre-alignment) Click Align Images
* Tweak panorama stitching parameters
* Assuming successful Alignment from above, Click Create Panorama for export and further editing.
This final step no longer is working in a successful alignment scenario as it usually does. After clicking Align Images the alignment happens and I am kicked back to the project wizard, but the "Create panorama" button is still greyed out. In this scenario pre-checkbox workflow stage 3 would enable as per above. (note: Control Point Assistant is clear and only has options to show control points for potential improvements).
I can Align images multiple times, go through the extended but not required optimizations, workflow state 3 never enables.
IF I un-check the roughly positioned check-box and then click Align Images it works as it has in the past and Create Panorama becomes available and I can move on with my day.
This does not feel like the expected behavior - I would expect that after doing a successful align images, that step 3 would become available as it used to. Having to manually uncheck and Align again anyway, for me at least, seems to be adding an unnecessary step?
Thanks and my apologies if I am just not grasping something obvious, but I wanted to report this in case it is not in fact intended.
