Hi, PTGui  World!

I encountered an interesting problem when stitching images, processed in Photoshop. The shooting conditions weren't ideal—three horizontal handheld shots, a winter evening, and heavy snowfall.
Stitching the RAW files was successful, but due to severe color noise in the resulting panorama, I tried using Photoshop-processed images (just RAW -> Save as JPEG).
PTGui couldn't stitch the panorama-
PS:
SCR_1.jpg
At the same time, PTGui stitched the JPEG files from the camera without any problems:
Camera's JPEGs:
SCR_2.jpg
The original files (RAW, JPEG), the Photoshop-processed files, and PTGui projects you can find at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_4ThCDY7xZm8GsLXG2fOmuXj6dft-XJe/view?usp=sharing

Thanks in advance :^-)

Hi Mikhail,

Just add a few control points manually to fix it. Takes one minute. See
attached project.

Your PS jpegs are strongly sharpened, exposing patterns in the noise. I
think this, and also the brightness difference, is tripping the control
point generator.

If you have PTGui 13: it has a built in noise reduction for raw files
(see the preprocess tab). And it can also output to DNG so you can do
noise reduction in ACR after stitching. So you have lots of options.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I suspected it was due to complicated shooting conditions. Most of RAW convertors (with default settings) can't handle such files for PTGui control point generator correctly.
A RAW pano and postprocessing is an answer. Or a native RAW converter (for SONY cameras according to rumors-Capture One).

Have a nice day!
