Difference between input and output

I think i'm missing something relatively simple, but the resulting panorama looks different in terms of brightness/colour to my input tiffs?  I have no idea why but I don't want anything to change to the input images other than them being stitched together.  You can see the highlights on the building to the middle right in the pano are super bright, but the screenshot of the input images isnt

Found it, exposure compensation was turned on - my bad, I thought I'd turned everything off.  I knew I was missing something simply
