Hi, 

I bought Ptgui many years ago, mostly used on my desktop. Now I am on vacation with my laptop and get this warning for the 3rd time. I bought this laptop roughly 6 months ago and installed Ptgui , for running it from time to time, without problems, till yesterday.

I wonder why? Sure, I get no free updates anymore but why does the SW expires now?

Hi Stephan,

The license does not expire, but the activation must be refreshed
periodically. I understand this is a nuisance, especially when the
computer is offline for long periods.

It was done to allow unlimited deactivations/activations (so you can
freely move PTGui to another computer when needed) while at the same
time preventing abuse of this.
