Hi! I have been using Ptgui pro for several years without problems. But suddenly now, when I click the Align-button, the stitched image is totally warped (see the screenshots). And the source images turn vertically. I downloaded the latest version, but still the same problem. I then installed an old version (12.6), but still the same problem. So I have not a clue what to do now.

So I updated to version 12.13, and the exact same thing happened. All the sourcimages are in landscape mode. When I click the alignbutton, they turn to portrait mode and give me the warped image seen above.

There's nothing really wrong - the panorama just needs levelling to get the horizon horizontal, which you can do by dragging/rotating the image in the Panorama Editor window.

It might help PTGui if you rotate the set of images into landscape orientation after loading, using one of the rotate buttons.

My last comment was not sensible if the images already show in landscape on loading.  Details of the drone/camera?

Thanks for answering so quick! Yes they were all in landscape mode, but turn into portrait mode as soon as I click the align button. In this case the drone was Mavic 2 zoom.

As John says, it's easily corrected by rotating the image in the
panorama editor. If you would like me to investigate why this happens,
please make a set of source images available for download.

I have the same problem!  It just cost me a major job because I could not deliver on time.

Spike, Why was this?  A very large number of panoramas?

Hello John,
It is not working with panoramas that I am making of flat artwork.  A square original painting, photographed in plane, 9, 12 16 or 24 times.
The stitching goes crazy, even after deleting all the control points and adding them in by hand.
The images were created from a camera on a tripod by moving the art across the lens area on a wall that is very square and built for this purpose.
The tripod is plumb and the camera moves vertically with a geared head and remains in plane to the art.
Square of art confirmed by zig-align mirror system.
It worked for me until I upgraded to the current software.  I was using a Ver. 11, software, originally purchased in 2016.
I have created many panoramic images with similar technique.  Also, I previously used a panographic head (Nodal Ninja) to create images with over 80 individual frames of
medium format exposures, with minimal problems.
Extremely frustrated by the recent performance.
Spike

You can still use older versions, you can even use them both, if you
install in a different folder: https://ptgui.com/support.html#1_8

Looks like there is another problem now with PtGui. I have images with perfect exposed sky, six images. Firstly, the result is bending, but that is not the worse. There is thousand of lines over the images. And the exported image have way overexposed sky, like you se in the image below. Before, there was no problems with PtGui pro, but now there is strange things happening that I dont understand.Skjermbilde 2022-09-02 kl. 17.56.53.jpg

Hi,

What you see in the panorama editor is the grid lines. You can drag the
little triangle (below the panorama) to change it, or click on the
triangle to hide the grid.

The overexposure could be caused by your images being taken in automatic
exposure mode. One way to fix this by darkening the panorama: see the
Exposure slider in the Post Processing tab in the Panorama Editor window.

You can also disable Exposure Correction in the Blending tab in the
panorama editor, but this may lead to other problems.

If you need more help I'd be happy to take a look. Please make your
images and project file available for download.
