Ciao,

sorry to bother you, I'm not sure, but almost one/two months ago, I could have read something

about unzip files on server....

I tried to find it but I spent a lot of time without success

Till now I always waited for the panos and virtual tours upload on the server, btw, now I have

many panos in the virtual tour and it takes almost 2 hours and half to upload, independently

from the connection (mine is fiber, with 1 Gbit download and 200 Mbit upload).

Can anyone help me, please?

Thank you so much

roberto

If you have telnet or putty access to the server it's easy: Upload your
zip, open a command window on the server, and try
unzip <filename>
(assuming it's linux) If this doesn't work look what the proper unzip
command is on the server. Perhaps you need to install it, in which case
you'll probably need root access.

But I doubt it's worth the effort: jpeg files don't compress very well
since they are already compressed. And if you have multiple files, you
can try concurrent upload. Your FTP program should allow specifying how
many concurrent connections it opens.

Got it Erik,
thnkx

the server is linux, but I cannot find how to open a command line;

The problem is not the number of single files, but the number of nodes in the virtual tour I'm
uploading on the server: the big amount of tiles is the sort of "bottle neck" that creates the long upload time (at least I suppose it is....but I'm not so clever with servers and so on...)

btw, will continue ti search a solution on the net.

Thnkx again.

ciao

Not everybody is proficient in command line operations …. But most web hosting companies have an unzip service available in their utility or web file manager for your web server
