I photographed a 360 pano from the center of a lawn with radiating paths, 12 shots at 30 degree intervals. It turns out the angle  between shots is too narrow for this location - - PTGUI thinks some shots are overlapping when they are on opposite sides of the lawn. It is easy to manually delete control points from non-overlapping shots. (If there is a shortcut, please let me know!) My problem is that, for two, non-overlapping shots, the shots appear to be inferentially connected via control points on 3rd shots. In other words, is it possible to tell PTGUI that shots A and B do not overlap, no matter what shots C, D, and E infer about A and B?

Ricardo,  While there is no facility to delete control points between non-overlapping shots, the Control Points menu has an option to generate points only between overlapping shots.  And for the Align Images function:  on the Project Settings tab you can check the option "Images are already roughly positioned (only search in overlapping images)".  Obviously the images do have to be reasonably well aligned for these to work as intended.

Hi all,
not an answer but to chime, if image A+C are overlapping this could add some trouble with auto control-points creation. Is there a way to choose : create control points only from successive pairs of images ? A&B, B&C but not A&C even if it is the case ?

Not directly. But the control point generator omits areas under red
masks. So if the very edges overlap with non-adjacent images (like A&C
or B&D) load them into PTGui, mask one of them such that the
questionable area is red, copy the mask to all images (on Source Images
tab) and then press Generate Control Points or Align Images. Once the
images are aligned, delete the masks again.

In the future consider to shoot with less overlap. 30% should be enough.

Thank you Erik.
This was a theoretical hypothesis that I however experimented with some drone manual pano shooting (when creating more overlapping as necessary [ and not regular in yaw ] to avoid too much parallax effects when stiching).
Anyway, in this case I'm used to create cp pair by pair instead of « for all images ».
When the project is failing I know this is me and ptgui allways allow the best stiching.
