While trying to create a blended pano from 33 jeps ( 11 x 3 each jpeg
is approx 6MB) i get the following message
Error writing jpeg file. Insufficient memory (case4)

I have PTGui PrO 9.0.1 which I run of my c drive ( 450 GB of which I
have used 105GB) The jpegs are stored on an external hard drive (260GB
of which I have 40GB left ). Also tried to store it on internal hard
drive with same result

I have windows 7 , 32 bit , RAM 4GB and processor 3.17Ghz

Where does the problem lie

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Could you try to upgrade to PTGui 9.0.4?

Hi Joost

Upgraded to 9.0.4 and same result
Funny thing is I took a pano of same scene at 10mm focal length and
converted to tiff and ran it ( 6 X 3 shots ). Produced a massive 250mb
no problem.

Then exactly the same workflow with 11 x 3 shots ( at 18mm focal
lenght ) and when trying with tiff or jpeg the same error

I then ran 11 shots with just the mid tone scene so no hdr/exposrue
blending and same error

I am stumped, I have never had this before
I create beautiful preview, optimizer works well. Very strange

What does the error message mean in layman terms?

Sorry update
Went back and deleted all the jpegs
Re converted from raw to tiff
Ran it again 11x3 and no problem

Not sure what happened the first time. Maybe the jpeg files were
corrupt??
Anyway fixed no problem
thanks
regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The underlying problem is in the jpeg library, so if it happens again you can work around it by saving the panorama as tiff (and convert in Photoshop). I'll look into the problem.
