Assertion failed: TnhStreamDistanceMap.cpp, line 874 for large pano project

Hi,

I'm using PTGui 12.27 on a Mac Studio (M2 Ultra, 128gb of ram). When I try to create a large pano as a PSB file, it consistently crashes with this error message:

Assertion failed: TnhStreamDistanceMap.cpp, line 874

I've tried this with GPU Acceleration on and off, and I consistently get this error. I kept an eye on memory usage during the last crash, and had plenty of physical memory left when the crash happened.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! I've attached the PTS project in case that's helpful.

Hi,

This is probably a bug in PTGui 12, but since PTGui 12 is no longer
supported, it will not be fixed.

You are using .png images, I assume the problem is related to the .png
reader in PTGui. You can probably work around this by converting your
images to jpg or tiff and stitch those.

If the problem also happens to occur in PTGui 13, could you make the
project's images available for download, so the bug can be fixed? Since
the total file size will be large, please try if the problem can be
reproduced with a smaller set of images.
