Hi all,

Just released: PTGui 9.0.2!

Several improvements in the PTGui web viewer, including gyroscope
support on the iPhone 4. Further the viewer now supports WebGL, so it
will run in Chrome 9 and Firefox 4 (still in beta) even if no Flash is
available. Resolution of panoramas on iPhone/iPad is improved.

In PTGui some bugs have been fixed and it better handles metadata of raw
images.

For details see:
http://www.ptgui.com/versionhistory.html

To upgrade use Help - Check for Upgrades. The upgrade is free of charge
for all current PTGui 9.x users.

Confirmed: It's not running in Firefox 3.6.13 on Mac (OS 10.6.6). But it seems to run fine on Safari Version 5.0.3 (6533.19.4) as well in Chrome 9.0.597.102, doesn't it?

Regards,

Michel

WebGL will be supported in Firefox 4; you can download a beta version here:
http://nightly.mozilla.org/

I think Opera plans to support WebGL too, only Internet Explorer still
doesn't show any signs of native 3D support.

Hi Willy,

Good to hear that!
Btw converting earlier panoramas to use the new viewer is easy:

- Add the following tag to the HEAD of your html
<meta name="viewport" content="width=800,user-scalable=false" />
(e.g. place it just below <meta name="generator"..>)

- replace PTGuiViewer.js and PTGuiViewer.swf with the new versions (you
can get them by exporting a new panorama using Publish to Web)

Following this important time saving tip,  I  modified a whole bunch of my panoramas.

In order to maintain  a test  old versus new  I had to  rename the test links

OLD webviewer:

Why are you talking about max 4.5 megapixel. The max on current iPad
and iPhone and iPod is 6.5
4.5 is really to small for iPad.
Is it because you set the max for iPhone 3.

Hans that is exactly why the limit is made configurable!

Yes but very few people knows about the actual limits for the iPad.
