Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with my new computer, as I am completely unable to use PTGui.
Every time I try to create a 360 panorama, the program freezes. Sometimes, endlessly repeating error messages appear, such as:
"invalid vector subscript" or
"Assertion failed: TnhSeamFinder.cpp, line 420"
(as shown in the attachment).

My new computer configuration:
• Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
• Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI
• Graphics card: AMD RADEON RX 7800 XT 16GB
• Monitor: BENQ EW3270U

On my previous computer, PTGui worked flawlessly.

Best regards,
Janusz Tupaj

Me too!

the "invalid vector" error happens once the panorama editor is open and the "assertion failed" happens after the editor is closed.  Can not use the interface once this starts happening as a new error pops up every 400ms or so.  Can not run stitch and graphical glitches appear on bitmap data.

Hi Steve,

By mistake I replied privately to the original poster, instead of in
this group:

I've seen these errors before, and they turned out to be caused by
hardware failures.

For some reason memory gets corrupted. This results in PTGui looking for
data outside defined memory bounds (hence invalid vector subscript). The
most likely cause is bad RAM.

Just to be sure, you might also try disabling GPU acceleration in
Options - advanced.

To test your RAM see for example:

----

This turned out to be the case indeed. Not actually bad RAM, but the RAM
failed due to overclocking. I'm pretty sure yours is a hardware failure too.

Kind regards,
