is there a max nubmer of pts' that you can send to batch... I swear in the old one "9"  I could send at least 15 at a time.

now I can do 4.   but much more than that and they just don't show up in batch stitcher..

I'm trying to do 23 right now

"C:\Program Files\PTGui\PTGui.exe" -batch "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2059.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2083.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2098.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2114.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2129.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2144.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2159.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2179.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2194.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2214.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2229.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2249.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2264.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2279.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2294.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2309.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2324.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2344.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2359.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2374.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2389.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2404.pts" "Z:\Z_transfer\chris\batch\_DSC2419.pts"

but if I delete all but say 4 it works..

Kinda stumped here
Thanks

so looks like this is a windows limitation?  I normally use ptgui on the mac, which I just tried and the new one lets me send all 23,  but on the pc, I'm not sure how many I can send at a time through command.  I can drag them all over and it works. but I have a script I'm trying to use that should just send them over to the batch stitcher...

does any one know if this is a windows limitation?  seems weird that it would be.

Thanks

How are you trying to send it?
Theres Batch List and Open Add Project. I never saw any limitation.. I think the most I had going in batch was 70 or so. Maybe command line sucks..

it's a python script, that just sends an os.system command, the equivalent of just typing the above in a command prompt.  also just pasting the above in a command prompt doesn't work.  but the same python script works on mac...

OK so create a single ptgbatch file of projects to send to batch stitcher and send that to batch stitcher.

Yes that could be a maximum command line length limitation. Although in
recent Windows version the limit should be much higher (yours is ~ 1000
characters only). Which windows version are you using?

I"m on windows 8.1,  if there is a better way to send batch's I could do that,  it's just easy in python to send commandline commands.

what is a ptgbatch file? I"ve been searching but unable to find any info on it.

thanks

Maybe it's a python limitation? Windows 8 should have a limit longer
than 1000 characters.

.ptgbatch are Batch List files created by the Batch Builder. They work
in the Pro version only. This might indeed be the solution for you.
Format is like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<PTGuiBatchList>
<Project FileName="/Users/joostn/Pictures/3D_L0185 Panorama.pts"
Enabled="true" DeleteWhenDone="false"/>
<Project FileName="/Users/joostn/Pictures/3D_L0194 Panorama.pts"
Enabled="true" DeleteWhenDone="false"/>
<Project FileName="/Users/joostn/Pictures/3D_L0203 Panorama.pts"
Enabled="true" DeleteWhenDone="false"/>
</PTGuiBatchList>

You can send them to the batch stitcher using
PTGui.exe -batch <filename.ptgbatch>
