Hello,

I need your help with an unusual problem with some blur found on the floor of a few of my panoramas.

You can find two examples in the link bellow, individual photos included too:

This is an old problem that I had on my last project too:

Please help me with this problem as it is quite urgent!

Thanks a lot!

The main problem is that there is a difference in image quality between the bottom of the images in the horizontal row and the centre area of the nadir shots.  The nadirs are much crisper, so it's noticeable where there are image transitions created by the blender.  I avoided that by using green masks in PTGui Pro so that the maximum area was used from the nadir images.  I noted that you need to adjust the lower rail setting on your panohead, as the knob should be better aligned in the two nadir shots when correctly stitched together. (This misalignment is the result of parallax due to the changing position of the entrance pupil of the lens as you pan round through 180 degrees).

I've uploaded a copy of my project file and the generated panorama to https://we.tl/t-RNOuZbNybb .  If you haven't got the Pro version of PTGui and therefore cannot use masks, you would have to adopt a different approach to achieve a similar effect.  Manually blend the nadir area in Photoshop, for instance.

I had a look at the second panorama.  My result is at https://we.tl/t-Ls9PhdKDIW . This is much worse than the first as the transition from the nadir images is much more stark.  There are big differences in the image colour/brightnesses -  the result of stitching HDR pre-processed images, I presume. What lens aperture setting was used, and what is the focus distance set to?  They may be factors. Try stitching just the normally exposed ev0 set (and correct the chromatic aberration).

Hello and thanks for your fast answer!
I will check today. Can you also tell me what is the best way to remove the tripod?
I have tried with photoshop, importing as panorama, but somehow image quality it is very low and also blurry, after cloning the floor.

The best way of removing the tripod is to take  a separate shot the nadir area with the tripod shifted out of the way and then stitch that in with viewpoint correction (Pro only).  But a popular method for cloning the area is to convert the equirectangular image to cube faces (from the Tools menu).  Edit the bottom image (taking care not to affect the pixels near the edge in any way,  and don't change the file names of the cube face images). Then simply add all 6 images into a new project and go straight to Create Panorama to merge the images back into an equirectangular panorama.
