Hello.  I've been a PTGui user for several years.   I am make virtual tours professionally with the Theta Z1, and the Insta360 X5 and X6.  Each time a new camera comes out PTGui needs to be updated to handle the data.  I am wondering if the same thing can be done for AI images.

I have found that ChatGPT color grades and color corrects dual fisheyes better than I can do by hand and in a fraction of the time.   The problem is that the dual fisheye images sent back from ChatGPT are useless because they cannot be stitched in PTGui - or any stitching software I  have.

Has anyone tried this and been successful?   Is there something that can be added to PTGui to be able to stitch AI fisheye images?

Hi,

PTGui expects the original dual-fisheye image: the two circular fisheye
views must retain their original projection, position, dimensions and
relative geometry.

If ChatGPT would only change the colors while leaving the pixels and
geometry unchanged, the result should normally remain stitchable.
However, AI image tools may regenerate, warp, crop or otherwise alter
parts of the image, or even invent new content.

If you must use the AI to correct colors, you could perhaps do this
after stitching, in the equirectangular image.

Kind regards,
