Hi,
I'm working with PTGui 10. I know that it is an old version, but I want to know how it handles a certain workflow. I do 360x180 Panoramas with the True HDR option (for CGI purposes).

I've seen that in this forum it was recommended to directly load the Raw files of the camera to PTGui. It will stitch them and handle them directly. This avoids what some guides suggested, which was to use "dcraw" or "HDR Merge", to prejoin the bracketed images prior to stitching them.

What I want to confirm is that if PTGui would stack this Raw bracketed images in Linear way in PTGui 10, or if it is just a feature of newer versions (if so does the standard version have it or only the pro one)?

Regards, saludos
Pablo

Hi Pablo,

PTGui 10 used dcraw internally, in linear mode. So yes this will work
well for generating HDR panoramasm since PTGui doesn't have to figure
out (and reverse) the curves used by the raw converter.

Kind regards,
