I have confirmed that when performing image stitching via the CLI in the Standard version, the results are inaccurate. I would like to know whether the Automatic Optimum Seam Placement feature, which is supported in the Pro version, is also applied when stitching images via the CLI.

Therefore, I am wondering if stitching through the CLI in the Pro version will produce accurate results due to the Automatic Optimum Seam Placement feature.

Hi,

Yes, optimum seam placement is available in PTGui Pro only. It will also
be applied when you stitch projects from the command line.

There's another difference between the standard and Pro version: in the
standard version, batch stitching (and also CLI stitching) will stitch
the project exactly as specified in the project file. It will not align
the images. The Pro version has the option of running Align Images as
part of the stitching process.

If you have prepared the project beforehand, this would be fine. But if
you expect the batch stitcher to apply a template to a set of new images
which should be aligned first, you would need the Pro version.

You can try it out by installing the trial version. When you run the
GUI, it will ask whether you want to try PTGui Standard or PTGui Pro.
The CLI doesn't ask, it will always run in Pro mode.

You can upgrade your license if you wish from your account:
