Hi Joost,

When I run "/Applications/PTGui Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/ptgui_pro_reg" -stitchnogui $ptsfile it works.

But when I try to run the same command via Qt's QProcess, making sure I copy my system's environment, it's timing out with:

"Contacting activation server...\nDone.\nPTGui Pro must be activated on this computer. Please enter your license key:\nRegistration key: "

QProcess: Destroyed while process ("/Applications/PTGui Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/ptgui_pro_reg") is still running.

Am I missing something in my ENV? Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance,

Thijs

Hi Thijs,

I think the second version may be running in x86_64 emulation on an
apple silicon machine (via Rosetta). In emulation the machine exposes
different hardware, so PTGui thinks it's running on a different machine
and requires activation.

Unfortunately there can only be one 'active' activation on a machine. So
you would need to run the GUI via Rosetta, or update your QT app to run
in native mode. If my assumption was correct, that is.

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

Hi Joost,

I think you're right, well spotted! Compiled on Intel, and running on Apple Silicon indeed.
Now it's up to me to think of a solution ;)

Thanks!
