But I don't want to make any control points in this case. What should I do to be able to render the image?

i'm using V12.16

Jeffrey, have you checked the Project Settings tab? See here:

no-points.jpg

Maybe you just need to uncheck the "but only if . . ."  option.

No, in the project settings the "Do 'Align Images' box is NOT checked....

Can you supply the project file "SECTION 1 and 2 BLENDED IN PTGUI.pts"  please, to enable the fault to be reproduced?  Source image files not needed.

The setting "Do Align Images" in the template is also replicated in the
Batch Builder window:

The Batch Stitcher:
* Will run 'Align Images'
* Will not run 'Align Images'

The setting for this option is taken from the template, but you can
override it in the batch builder window. It was added here because it
was a common source of confusion when working with the batch builder,
and the preferred setting depends on the application (fixed camera rig
vs non-fixed rig).

If the Batch Stitcher complains about missing control points, this
setting must have been enabled.

Hi Jeffrey,

See my previous reply:

The setting "Do Align Images" in the template is also replicated in the
Batch Builder window:

The Batch Stitcher:
* Will run 'Align Images'
* Will not run 'Align Images'

If the Batch Stitcher complains about missing control points, this means
you would have set it to 'Will run Align Images'. Set it to 'will not
run' next time.

hi Joost,

but I didn't use the batch builder to create this project!

Jeffrey, I did a batch run by adding the supplied project file in the Batch Stitcher window.  All went ok - no error message.  This was on Win11,  but because of my PC limitations I used source images reduced in size to 1% of their dimensions.

I wonder if the size of the source images has something to do with it? I also got it rendered successfully on another attempt without changing anything.

I get it, this is what happened:

Originally your project file had the 'Do Align Images' checkbox enabled.
When the Batch Stitcher processes the project, it will perform the Align
Images step and save the modified project. But before saving the
project, the 'Do Align Images' checkbox gets cleared. This is to ensure
that Align Images will only be done once.

Just send the project to the batch stitcher.

Make sure beforehand (and not afterwards) that the 'Do Align Images'
checkbox is cleared.

If you check it afterwards, you'll find that the checkbox will always be
cleared because PTGui resets it after running align images.
