Hallo everyone

I have to stitch a large number of panoramic photo's for (Google Businessview )

I have made a template in the Pt gui pro in the project manager.
It works fine.
But when i use the batch builder and i use the same template i do get this error message: /Volumes/Arjan Oldenkamp wd elements /Sanitairwinkel/IMG_3963 Panorama Panorama.pts:
Error: Could not find control points for all images; not stitching the panorama at this time..

It looks like the batch builder is rotating the photo's .
It is shot in Portrait mode and the pictures are loading in landscape mode i think?

Could somebody advice me what to do

Thank you in advance
Gr Arjan Oldenkamp.

Hi Arjan,

It's always possible that PTGui cannot find control points for an image.
In that case you have to open the project in the GUI and add the
necessary control points. Just load IMG_3963 Panorama Panorama.pts and
switch to the Control Point Assistant window, it will tell you what to do.

Your screenshot looks fine to me: images are in portrait orientation.

Kind regards,

Dear Joost

Thank you for this quick answer .
The sreenshot was taken from the project manager .
The projectmanager stitches the photo's very good.
But when i am using the batch builder  things go wrong.
See the two new screenshots from the batch builder.
It is not only with one group of photo's that i get this error message.
I get this error message for all the photo's.
I hope you understand what i mean.

Thank you in advance

Gr Arjan Oldenkamp.

Hello Joost Goodmorning

I have made some screen recordings so that you can see my workflow.
Also i have made a screen recording of the batch builder error.
I hope you can have a look at it.
I can share the photo's and screen recordings  with you (with we transfer).

Hopefully we can solve this problem.
For me it is important because i have a very large amount of photo's that needs to be stitched.
Where should i sned these files to?
I need one e mail adres.
Love to hear from you.
Thank you for all the support

Arjan, What type of files are you using for input to PTGui?  It may be that your problems stem from the use of auto rotate functions.  If you shoot raw, all such problems can be avoided by generating image files (tiff or jpeg) in the desired orientation (upright).. Photoshop does not include the orientation tag in the converted file, so what you see is what you get, and PTGui and the batch stitcher should treat the images in a consistent fashion.

Hello John

Thank you for your response.
I am using jpeg files in PT gui.
I don't use photoshop for stitching these photo's.
In the  project manager in pt gui pro the photo's are processed perfect in a 360 panorama photo.
It is only in the Bantch builder the the original jpeg files are rotated to landscape mode.
I did shoot these photo's in Portraitmode.
So there is no need to rotate these photo's
I hope you understand what  i mean.

Gr Arjan Oldenkamp.

Yes, I do understand.  I performed a test myself with some jpeg images shot in portrait orientation with the camera's auto rotate feature switched on.  The batch builder did display the images in the raw landscape orientation, as you found, but this did not affect the stitching of the images.  The generated project file shows the images in portrait orientation, exactly like the template project file, and control points were generated by the batch stitcher.  I suggest you check the settings in the Project settings tab of the template project.  If nothing untoward is found there, upload the files requested by Joost to www.ge.tt or other accessible location and forward a link to the files to the PTGui support email address or post the link here.
