Hi

I'm using PTGui Pro 8.2.1 to perspective correct single black/white
images. I noticed the following:

1st: The magnifying glass in the control point tab is much darker than
the unmagnified image. It's almost black so it does not help setting
accurate control points.

2nd: When I open a grayscale image with a grayscale ICC profile
embedded the output image is in rgb but with the same ICC profile as
the input. Of course this causes an error message when opening the new
image in Photoshop.

Can you reproduce this behavior? Can one fix it?

Regards

Robin

Hi Robin,

If you unselect 'Auto Contrast' the magnifier glass will have the same
brightness.

Currently PTGui only supports RGB images, so you would need to convert
the output back to grayscale in Photoshop. Grayscale support has been on
the wishlist for some time already but it's not trivial to implement.

Any update on implementing gray scale?  I am shooting on a camera with a monochrome sensor (for astrophotography) so grayscale would be the preferred profile for me.
Thanks,

Hi,

I'm sorry, I don't have any updates on this. I'm aware of the need, it's
on the wish list.

Kind regards,
