Hi,

Is it possible to produce and embed XMP metadata required for Google Photo Sphere with PTGui? Can anyone advise how to do that?

Here is information from http://www.ptgui.com/versionhistory.html
 - "PTGui now embeds Google Photo Sphere XMP metadata for all equirectangular panoramas. Together with the new geotagging feature this makes it very easy to publish your spherical panoramas directly to Google Plus, Google Views and Google Maps."

But if PTGui can do that, that will be great.

pyExifToolGUI is an excellent free cross-platform app for viewing and batch editing EXIF, XMP, and other image metadata including built in support for GPS geotagging & google's photosphere GPano, allows easy preperation of photosphere metadata for upload to google views, time stamp edit/shift, file renaming by exif data, etc etc - http://hvdwolf.github.io/pyExifToolGUI/

first install ExifTool from here -http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
then install pyExifToolGUI from here -https://github.com/hvdwolf/pyExifToolGUI/releases

complete usage instructions and docs here -http://hvdwolf.github.io/pyExif.../manual/pyexiftoolgui.html

see "5.4 Edit GPano (Google Photosphere) data" for info on setting google photosphere metadata -http://hvdwolf.github.io/pyExifToolGUI/manual/pyexiftoolgui.html#EditgpanoData

But PTGui 9.2 and 10 will already embed Photosphere metadata in all
equirectangular panoramas (but jpg / tiff only). So you can upload
straight from PTGui to google.

Optionally you can set the GPS location using the Metadata button in
Create Panorama.
