I have shot images with a DSLR on a tripod with 5-image bracketing. While stitching in PTGui 13.8, I noticed that partial areas in the stitched panorama look ghostly. Please check the image at the link:

zoomed in, with circle markings indicating areas to identify. However, all images are sharp, with no tripod movement during shooting. I can share my raw files and the project file as well. I have stitched with HDR mode enabled.

In many panoramas, this has happened. Could you please provide a solution?

Hi Pankaj,

Despite shooting on a tripod, I'm pretty sure the images are not
perfectly aligned. This could be due to camera shaking from the shutter
movement, or perhaps due to image stabilization in the camera or lens.

When you link the imanges in PTGui, you can tell it to not fix the
bracketed images, but instead search for control points between them.
This should fix it.

Kind regards,

Hi Joost,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Please find the images at the link below for your reference. All of the original images are sharp, so I would appreciate it if you could check them on your end to help identify the issue. I have been shooting for the last 10+ years, and this kind of problem has never happened.

Pankaj,  Joost's advice for avoiding the alignment issues is correct:  When you link the imanges in PTGui, you can tell it to not fix the
bracketed images, but instead search for control points between them.  See my project file attached.
