This is my first post on this forum and I would like to know if it is possible to import an alpha masked tiff into PTGui standard version. I ask this because I tried it: the masks were intact but it did not work properly (possibly I was not doing it correctly). The masks were there, but they were white rather than transparent. Is the whole alpha mask thing limited to the Pro version only?

Would appreciate your answers.

Masks work ok on the trial PTGui V9.1.7 I downloaded just now.  I just created a hole in one tiff image with an alpha channel mask and the hole showed with the checkerboard pattern in it in the Control Points tab as expected.  I generated a layered PSD file for the stitched output and the hole was included in the mask of the appropriate image.  For a tiff file output, the mask showed as transparent in the options "Normal (associated)" and "Unassociated".

Layer masks don't work, you need to use alpha channels.

Of course not. Before PTGui implemented it's own masking the only
possibility to mask images was to add alpha masks beforehand.
