Hello everyone - I'm using the GoPro Hero 6 for panoramas. I'm using the Panohero-H5B .
When I import the images it gives the focal length as 3mm but does not list the Hero 6 for lens type, just Hero 3 or 4 or generic fisheye.
I notice there are also many other parameters that can be adjusted.
Sometimes using the Hero 4 setting works well, other times things are off a little.
Any ideas you have would be helpful.
I'm using v11.6
Thanks

Hi Mike,

The lens is identical or very similar to GoPro hero 4. The Gopro 6 will
be recognized in the next update, for now just use Hero 4 as a lens type.

If you run into any problems please make a set of images available for
download.

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

Mike, If you take care to shoot your panoramas with the Panohero head in a consistent fashion (same order of shots), you might consider using the project file saved from one of your successful stitches as a template. Simply load in a new set of images and apply the template using File->Apply template. Then generate control points from the Control Points menu.  Select the Optimizer tab and from the Minimize lens distortion option list, select No and run the optimizer.  If that gives a satisfactory result you can go on to generate the output panorama.  OTOH, you might possibly have some parallax issues and you can try improving the optimization figures by selecting Heavy from the lens distortion option list.
